Unemployment rose to 3.7 percent in December, and there are currently more registered job seekers than official vacancies. The first quarter of this year will decide on further developments.
Tougher and longer negotiations, but also adding "according to merit". The labor market is changing and employees are becoming aware of it. They stop threatening to leave and value work more.
"The labor market is changing a bit, until recently we used to say that the labor market is overheated, now I would say that it is, on the contrary, frozen. And the question is how long it will continue in this state," says Martin Jánský, CEO of Randstad, in an interview with SZ Byznys.
According to him, companies do not have orders, but they are not firing and at the same time they are not hiring too much. "Employees are also not as prone to change jobs right now, so I would say it's a wait-and-see situation right now," he adds.
