The Ministry of Internal Affairs told what Ukrainians in the country should do

If you have a valid long-term residence permit in the Czech Republic, then in case of renewal, you must proceed in the standard way:

If your residence permit (visa-free regime/Schengen visa/seasonal visa/special work visa) in the Czech Republic expires in less than 14 days and if you cannot return to Ukraine due to a military conflict, you must come to the HCDM office.

Due to the current conflict, it is possible to apply for a specific type of long-stay visa. If you have a work permit, you can continue to work.

Important!

You should not apply to the IMDM department earlier than the specified deadline, as the application will not be processed.
If you do not have a valid residence permit in the Czech Republic, you must contact the Police of the Czech Republic (Department of Police for Foreigners).

Do I need to take out medical insurance?

Yes. To stay in the Czech Republic, you must have health insurance. If you are employed, you are legally covered by public health insurance.

If you are not working in the Czech Republic, you must have your own insurance (currently pVZP only).

Do you have family members or loved ones in Ukraine who need to move to the Czech Republic?
Citizens of Ukraine can enter the Czech Republic without a visa, but only on the basis of a valid biometric passport and for a period not exceeding 90 days in any 180-day period

Important!

It is necessary to take out travel medical insurance for the period of a visa-free stay (you can also get it online).
It is the responsibility of every foreigner arriving in the Czech Republic to register with the Police of the Czech Republic (in the case of accommodation in hotels or other accommodation facilities, this obligation is transferred to the owner of the facility). We recommend that you verify that the landlord or hotel actually did this.

If applying at the embassy:
If you have already applied for a long-term residence permit, you can complete this process in the Czech Republic. Once a decision has been made on your case, you will be required to visit the PHDM office.

If you have applied for a long-term visa, this visa can be obtained at the indicated embassy, which will be available at the time of the closure of embassies in Ukraine. More information can be found on the embassy website.
